The Survey identified a number of
trends that will help us target these areas during the
upcoming year. Among the most notable points are:
• Top challenges facing members in their current
positions include acquiring and retaining qualified
staff, managing budgets and forecasts and increasing
understanding of
the accounting function within their organizations.
• Participation in professional development depends
mainly upon the accessibility and convenience of the
location and quality of content in the presentations.
• Members attend networking functions and events to
connect with peers and colleagues in a social form and
to obtain professional development.
• Half of the respondents said that they did not have a
system in their workplace that adequately supports
them in identifying the skills and competencies that
should be focused on to keep up with changes and growth
in the management accounting profession
• Only 50% hold a CPA and/or CMA with the remainder
having no certification. Please feel free to contact any
